My name is Jordan Campbell. I am a junior at the illustrious Tuskegee University. I am originally form Hempstead, New York but I was raised in Oxon Hill, Maryland. My plans after graduation are to become a test pilot for Lockheed Martin or Northrop Grumman then after about 10-15 years create my own private company that I will sell blue prints for military grade planes to the United States military. As a college student I have joined the world’s largest nation service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega as well as a community outreach program named Next Step-up where we tutor middle school and high school students in the surrounding area, our main goal is the put them on the right path and let them know that many people are in their corner and want them to succeed.
My main reason in wanting to get my private pilot pilots license is actually a funny story when I was a teenager I watched almost every move that made its way to the big screen and the most influential was “Green Lantern” directed by Martin Campbell. In this film the Green Lantern’ s civilian job was to be a test pilot where he flew military grade air planes and that is what stuck to my all these years. Once I saw that movie I knew being a pilot was my calling, from there I pursued multiple flight paths, I completed multiple flight courses in high school and eventually soloed an Piper Cherokee in 2015 through the scholarship I was granted by the Tuskegee Airmen East Coast Chapter. Now in 2018, I have finally been blessed with the opportunity to continue my flight lessons thanks to the Red Tails Scholarship Foundation. In the near future, because of the Red Tails Scholarship Foundation, I will be the next test pilot flying high In the beautiful blue sky’s above you. Thanks!
